Today some of our parents came to visit us and see our learning! Some of us made a clock together outside using logs, a hoop and chalks. We also played "What's the Time Mr Wolf" and drew hopscotch with days of the week and numbers on.

We have been building towers outside as part of our castle topic, and some of us have been painting vines and flowers to decorate the outside of our castle in the quiet area.

One of our friends got stuck in her tower of tyres and had to be pulled out!

In Maths this week we are learning about time. The Apples group went outside to do some Space Hopper races. We timed ourselves, and our fastest time was 14 seconds- we were very speedy! 

Afterwards we had races against each other just for fun!

In Maths this week we have been learning about ordinal numbers. Some of our friends decided to have a tyre rolling race outside this morning to see who would come first, second and third!

We have been searching for chiggiwigs and beetles outside during playtime today. Some of our friends even made a house for them to live in!

After lunch every day we have Everybody Reading In Class (ERIC) to start our afternoon. We read quietly to ourselves for 20 minutes.

We have been practising writing our numbers in flour this week, and seeing who can write the biggest number:

We have also designed and built models in the construction area, counting how many bricks we used to make them:

This model used 20 bricks...

These glasses only used 6...

Our biggest model used 43 bricks!
