Next week is Wren house week. With the help of some of the older students we are planning to make a milk bottle igloo. Please could you bring in any 4 pint milk bottles? We need the lids on but please rinse them out. Thank you for your support. We hope it will look something like this.

This week in the Early Years.
The children have had their school photograph taken for the Dorset Echo. They looked very smart!
We visited the life van to find out more about looking after our bodies and staying healthy.
Here the children are meeting Harold the giraffe.
They loved the stars on the ceiling.

Don't forget our Harvest Festival is tomorrow at 9:30.

Foundation Stage Sports Day 2014.
This week the children all took part in the Early Years Sports Day! There was a 25 metre sprint, an egg and spoon race and a dressing up race. Lots of fun!
We all competed to win house points. The winning house was Penn, followed by Wren, Anning and Coode.
Well done everyone who took part and we would like to thank the parents for their support.

At Osprey Quay in Reception we have been playing World Cup lotto. Today we gave out prizes for each child who took part. The winners Germany won footballs and the runners up Argentina got vuvuzelas and whistles (sorry about that). Holland who came third won football hats and Brasil also won a vuvuzela for coming forth. We have talked about each country, what they enjoy, eat, places to visit and who their best footballers are. The children have really enjoyed finding out about different cultures and each day we have added the scores on to our World Cup wall chart.
